For the past 10 years, I have worked almost every Saturday on my tree farm in southern Michigan. I have planted over 2,000 hardwood trees, cut down more trees than I can remember and built a little ‘get-a-way’ cabin. For me, it is one of the most beautiful places on earth. Growing trees is my pastime but it is not my passion. My passion is to pastor River Oaks Community Church and to grow fully devoted followers of Christ.

I have been at River Oaks from the beginning, almost 20 years ago, and have watched it grow from a Bible Study of 17 adults to over 1,200 attendees. Over the years I have had some pretty tough questions come my way like, “What about the genocide in the Old Testament?” or “What about other religions?” or “What about gays”? On this site are my answers to these and several other tough questions for Christianity.
